Acceptable Use Policy
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of any applications, services, and platforms (“Services”) provided or managed by Gatekeeper Technology (Pty) Ltd (“Gatekeeper”). By accessing or using the Services, Customers and Users agree to comply with this AUP. Gatekeeper reserves the right to update this AUP at its discretion. If there are material changes, we will notify users by posting an updated version prior to implementation. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
2. Prohibited Activities
Users may not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Distribute, store, or transmit any material that is harmful, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, bypass, or compromise the security, performance, or integrity of the Services.
- Engage in unauthorized access, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling of the underlying technology, including the platform and infrastructure, whether successful or not.
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious software into the Services.
- Use the Services in any manner that causes excessive load or disrupts the experience of other users.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Services without explicit written consent from Gatekeeper.
3. User Responsibilities
Users must:
- Ensure that all content and data submitted through the Services comply with legal and contractual obligations.
- Maintain the confidentiality of authentication credentials and prevent unauthorized access.
- Immediately report any security vulnerabilities, breaches, or suspected misuse of the Services.Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
4. Platform and Third-Party Dependencies
Gatekeeper manages third-party platform subscriptions on behalf of the Customer and maintains the necessary relationships to facilitate access to these services. However, Gatekeeper is not responsible for any disruptions, restrictions, pricing changes, service modifications, or policy updates imposed by third-party providers, including but not limited to JourneyApps and PowerBI.
While Gatekeeper will make reasonable efforts to ensure continuity of access, Customer acknowledges that these platforms operate independently and may change their terms or services. In the event of such changes, Gatekeeper will work with the Customer to explore suitable alternatives where feasible.
5. Enforcement of Violations
Gatekeeper reserves the right to:
- Investigate violations of this AUP.
- Suspend or terminate access to the Services for non-compliance.
- Report violations to relevant authorities where applicable.
6. Changes to this AUP
Gatekeeper may modify or amend this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or best practices. If there are material changes to this policy, we will prominently post such changes prior to implementing them.
